The Mountain Men are Gordy Van and Larry Church with either Gary Comeau on fiddle
or Tom Hiatt on accordion or all four if you like.
Gordy Van
Gordy is a 30 year, multi-faceted entertainer. An actor, showman, musician, songwriter,
comedian and MC, he has performed with Bobby Vee, The Platters, Buddy Knox, Powder
Blues, Bobby Curtola, B.J. Thomas and the Note-ables. A great front man and all
round musician.
Larry Church
An 18 year veteran, Larry toured and recorded with Canadian superstars Trooper for
six years. He has toured with (and was a considerable influence on) Sue Medley and
the Ronnie Prophet show. He’s a great singer and one of the best bassists in the
industry.
Tommy Hiatt
Tommy hails from St. Paul, Minn. He performed (for 22 years) with the show group
the Note-ables and has shared the stage with Rich Little, Mary Wells, Jimmy Rogers,
Sammy Davis Jr. and the Count Basie Band in show rooms all over the US and Canada.
Tommy is a renowned keyboard player and has an excellent falsetto voice.
Gary Comeau
Hails from Nova Scotia. Gary has released 3 CD’s and has played his fiddle with
the likes of Backseat Driver, Sue Medley, Blue Northern, J.J. Cale and was the bandleader
for Crawfish Fiesta (a zydeco band) who played at the PNE.
