Kenny Hess started Playing with his family Band at the ripe old age of 4, singing
songs of idols Conway, Merle, George, and Elvis. By the time he was 14 he had his
own band and in short order was opening shows for top country acts. In the following
years he honed his songwriting and performing skills by touring and recording. Kenny's
successes brought him to the attention of legendary Nashville songwriter Harland
Howard (I fall to Pieces, Heartaches by the Number) and was soon working with him
writing songs.
Word spread quickly and Kenny was soon signed to Curb Songs. Mike Curb heard Kenny's
demos and signed him to a recording contract. Kenny's Music has been called many
things but one reviewer put it best when he shrewdly said of Kenny's Music "...it's
ingenious, dead simple, and it works."
